Our Broodmares
 Our broodmares have been handpicked
with the concentration being on conformation, bloodlines
and disposition. Our philosophy is "you can only get
'out' of these horses, what you put 'in' to them. Our
goal at KMK Paint Horses is to achieve a broodmare band,
that consists of 100% superior halter mares. As you
will see below, we are getting very close to that goal.
To further achieve this, when possible, our mares are
trained and shown so we can test their worthiness to
reproduce.
We strive to set a good example by having the highest
standards for our "girls" and not "Just breeding to have
a baby". Every foal created from the mares at KMK, was
bred for a specific purpose. If we feel that a
particular foal does not measure up to the standards
that we have, we take that particular mare out of our
program, or find her another suitable mate outside of
our program.
In a time when there are far too many beloved equines
ending up in the sales and marketplace, KMK is
attempting to do our part to keep that number down. For
this reason, you will not see a high quantity of
broodmares here. But, instead a select few, who we feel
have something positive to add to the equine industry.
